West Bridgford View from a diesel-hauled London express passing through West Bridgford in 1966. This was one of the last trains on the line before closure.

This view is the end of Orston Road East at the rear of the City Ground car park and is not far from Lady Bay Bridge

Orston Road South of the above location a London-bound express is captured in 1966. The route is now occupied by the A6011 which runs from Lady Bay Bridge south to Radcliffe Road

West Bridgford

West Bridgford on a wet day in 1966 with a train heading south over Melton Road. Today 'The Green Line' is a nature reserve which starts just south of Melton Road bridge in the photograph and runs as far as Boundary Road along the old track bed

Devonshire Road This is the last remaining railway bridge in West Bridgford today. It provides a vital link between the two parts of the 'The Green Line' nature reserve embankments and is considered by many to be an attractive feature of the Green Line and Devonshire Road.

Brickworks site The site of T & J Smart's brickworks at Ludlow Hill is now an industrial estate. It is situated between Devonshire Road Bridge and Boundary Road. View looking towards the railway in 2009

Boundary Road bridge Heading up the grade towards Edwalton is an 8F with a coal train. The track bed is now 'The Green Line' nature reserve which starts just south of the Melton Road bridge and runs up to Boundary Road
