South of the above location a London-bound express
is captured in 1966. The route is now occupied by the A6011 which runs from Lady
Bay Bridge south to Radcliffe Road Courtney Haydon Collection R.C.T.S.

West Bridgford on a wet day in 1966 with a train

This is the last
remaining railway bridge in West Bridgford today. It provides a vital link
between the two parts of the 'The Green Line' nature reserve embankments and is considered by many to be an
attractive feature of the Green Line and Devonshire Road.

Heading up the grade towards Edwalton is an 8F with
a coal train. The track bed is now 'The Green Line' nature reserve which starts
just south of the Melton Road bridge and runs up to Boundary Road Courtney Haydon Collection R.C.T.S. |
