Test train timings

For those of you who may wish to visit the test track in daylight, the following information may be of use. In addition to the SSL stock (which runs as required on the line) one or two Serco/NR test trains run regularly from Derby RTC and back in order to carry out certain tests at Old Dalby.

Here are the timings for one of the paths, MONDAYS ONLY until 7th December 2009. Please be aware that these test trains can be cancelled or fail etc so there is always an element of 'pot luck' when venturing out to photograph them.

4Z10 and 4Z11 ran on August 17th but 4Z11 was stopped at Melton Junction and the train returned to Old Dalby due to wheel flats . Both trips were to calibrate the UTU4 stock.
The train will probably return to Derby on 18th as below


Next LUL tube movement is probably to be later in August too, or so I'm told?
