In BR days, but with LMS on the tender, a Fowler 4F  0-6-0 returns a Great Yarmouth holiday special to Nottingham in 1948, and is pictured between Stanton Tunnel and Plumtree near 117½ MP.

 Class 90

In the late 1980's 90 001 rounds the curve at 117½ MP at the end of an aerodynamic pantograph tuning run. The locomotive and two coaches were propelled by a class 47 locomotive. Derek Young
