This is the 1610 Melton-Nottingham DMU passing Melton Jcn. The local service between Melton and Nottingham was withdrawn from 18/4/66 the only intermediate station being Old Dalby.

Leaving the test track

Propelling off the test track in the late 1970's past the protecting signal for the junction - now no longer there and replaced by a 'Stop board'. The view is looking back towards Asfordby from Melton Junction.

Note the secondman at the door of the loco.
